Step-by-step instructions to start a Televisit
1. Prepare your device and location
Choose a secure, private location for your appointment and “arrive early” by logging in ahead of time.
2. Access the Televisit
You can start the visit in one of three ways:
- Via email or text: Click the link provided in the email or text message from your doctor’s office.
- Via the Patient Portal: Log in to your patient portal account and click the option to join the Televisit.
- Via the Healow app: Open the Healow app, navigate to your upcoming appointments, and tap the camera icon or “Start TeleVisit” button.
3. Complete pre-visit tasks
Fill out any requested patient questionnaires or vital signs, although you can leave fields blank if you don’t have the information.
4. Perform a technical check
The system will perform an automatic check of your internet speed, browser, speaker, camera, and microphone. You may need to allow the browser to use your camera and microphone if prompted.
5. Enter the virtual waiting room
Once the checks are complete and you click “Start TeleVisit” or “Proceed,” you will be placed in a virtual waiting room, and your provider will join the call when ready.
